Store Policies

As experienced horse people, we have selected and tested the products that we offer.  We think that you will be delighted with your purchase.  If you are not 100% satisfied with your product, you can return it for a refund, exchange or credit. Please see details.  Windswept Horse and Hound offers the following Returns Policy:

Returns - Exchanges - Discrepancies

 

At Windswept Horse & Hound, we are proud to offer a selection of quality products with exceptional customer service and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Providing you simple and straightforward return policies is one of the many ways we maintain our high level of customer service.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return your unused product (in the same brand new condition it was received in), within 7 days of receipt of the product for an exchange or refund of the purchase price.

Contact us by email and we will send you the return address and return authorization number for your product. Please include a copy of your receipt with the reason for return and any exchange information clearly stated on the front.  Make sure all packaging and tags are in place and all pieces of the product are there, including any instruction manuals and/or warranty information.

For items that are sent to you directly from our vendors, please contact us for shipping instructions as some vendors do not accept returns without a return authorization number.

For your protection, we recommend that you ship your return back to us via UPS or USPS with insured service. This protects you in case the shipment is damaged or lost in transit. This will also allow you to easily track your return shipment through that carrier. We cannot assume responsibility for misdirected, damaged, or lost shipments.

The following items are not eligible for return:

- Custom special order items

- Sale, Clearance, and Closeout items
- All bits

- Saddles (exchange only)


We do not refund your original shipping (if any) or return shipping charges (unless you were sent the wrong item).

 

                              Any product that you try on your horse must be free of horse hair and dirt. 
                              Please take appropriate precautions.

Saddle exchanges:

You must contact us for an authorization number. Saddles may be exchanged within 7 days of receipt of saddle, but only if they are in NEW and UNUSED condition, no wear marks may be visible.  If saddle shows any signs of usage, wear on flap, scratches, wear on billets, you will automatically be charged a minimum of 10% and up to 50% of the saddle's value, and we reserve the right to refuse the exchange all together.

All return or exchange shipping charges are at your expense.

 

Damaged Order Returns:

If anything is damaged in your order, please save the carton and all the packing material as well as the item. Do not return the merchandise. Notify us immediately at so we can instruct you on the proper handling of the damaged merchandise. This will ensure the quickest replacement.

If you were shipped the wrong item(s):

Return in accordance with criteria above. Upon receipt we will ship the correct item if it is in stock and refund the reasonable cost of return shipping. Enclose a copy of the carriers shipping charges. We do not refund excessive shipping charges, (i.e. overnight) on returned items. If the item is not in stock we will issue a full refund.
